Keeping Up with the Kardashians is a Fraud

        A reality show is a television program in which ordinary people are continuously filmed, designed to be entertaining rather than informative. For example Keeping Up with the Kardashians. 
    
Everything on the show is scripted and set up to be the most dramatic that it can be and millions of people tune in to keep up with the Kardashians. Even though they have a lot of bad things that they have done like gone to jail, been accused of plagiarism, and cultural appropriation they continue to be a huge influence of the media. 
       
 Despite episodes dealing with Kim's robbery, her healing from it, and, of course, Kanye's breakdown, the show is slipping in viewers each week, going from 1.58 million to 1.41 million to 1.35 million viewers in its first three episodes, according to The Daily Mail. Compare this with a more regular occurrence of over 2 million viewers per episode and an all-time high of 10.5 million (!!!) for Kim's wedding to Kris Humphries, and things don't seem good.

         

The Kardashian family had an undeniably crazy 2016, and while Kim has been taking a lower-key approach in early 2017, the rest of the family has been courting their own (less sympathetic) controversies recently — Kendall Jenner's cringeworthy Pepsi ad, Caitlyn Jenner's memoir and increasing alienation of her family, and Khloe's controversial new show, to name just a few.

       The Kardashians have made the big butts and boobs with thin waists something that millions of teenage girls want to be and what millions of teenage boys want to have. They are huge social media stars that influence not only what teenagers expect their bodies to be like but also the way they dress and act. People aspire to be just like the Kardashians. 

     

Even after having been accused of plagiarizing smaller brands products their  overly expensive products have continued to sell. As well as with their products that culturally appropriate cultures that they are not. They have taken products used in Hispanic Cholo culture and a lot of products and styles from the black community. 

     

   Even though the ratings seem to be dropping the Karadhians have become a meme, whether it's their pregnancy rumors or nervous breakdowns the internet finds it funny enough to make GIFs about them.  People in ever day life talk about the Kardashians and what they are up to. They have become not only an internet sensation but also a household name, whether it be bad or good they have become billionaires off of our stupidity. Millions tune in to watch something completely fake and enjoy it.
