It's Just Music? Right?

             New songs are coming out constantly but what makes a song good or bad. Is it the rhythm or the lyrics ? Is it maybe the singer ? Well I think it's all of them. Music influences both culture and what society thinks is ethically correct. Music to me is a huge part of what I believe in and what I like so I think that it does the same to other people. The definition of music is a  vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. Music influences our society and media so much that the media is constantly talking about how music influences us and many of the trends that we want to participate in are started by singers. Music also brings us together culturally as cultures have traditional music that most of their people like but music also brings people from different cultures together because we find something in common that we both like or dislike. I know people who have met their best friends by overhearing the other's person's music and liking it and having the guts to talk to them about their music taste. Music also shapes the way we see other forms of media such as movies, plays, video games and Internet videos. Music for movies influences the mood,tone, and other big parts of how we interpret the meaning of what's happening in the movie. Plays are usually full of music as the music helps move the story forward or to give some exposition on characters. A lot of video games have their very own soundtrack which I think is really neat because they are making new music to have their players be influenced by something they've never heard before. More and more Internet videos are being made with music in them because it helps the creator keep the audience longer and happier. Music I think is a huge part of everyone's lives like I listen to music all the time whether I'm doing homework and studying or doing chores, sometimes music is the only way I can sleep so music to me is a huge part of media. Music is for everyone there are so many different types of music and so many genres that everyone is bound to like at least one of the songs. Music is composed by so many things that make it the great thing that it is. Music varies so much like a song can be 30 seconds long or 30 minutes long which I think is another beautiful part of what music is. Music can take so many forms and have so many meanings which I enjoy because music can range from birds chirping outside of my window to rap music full of heavy beats and curse words. Music is one of the greatest things that the human ear gets to experience daily and something that the brain loves to listen to. Music makes fire works go off in the brain when heard and when someone learns to play an instrument and create music it creates even more fire works in the brain which is amazing. In conclusion music is a part of media that I wouldn't ever want to lose and that hopefully we won't ever lose.
